On Friday, October 2, 2009, Back In Time opened up Oldies Night at The Club in the main dining room . It was an honor to be the opening act for the evening that inclcuded the best local band in Birmingham, Rock Candy and ended with a special appearance by the legendary rythym and blues writer / singer Eddie Floyd. Eddie Floyd and Wilson Picket were both from Montgomery, Alabama and were original members the Falcons, a group that made a huge impression on the rythym and blues groups to follow. Eddie was one of the major writers for Stax records and wrote songs that were hits for singers like the great Otis Redding. Eddie is still performing internationally today along with the Blues Brothers. It was our honor to be able to join Rock Candy and Eddie Floyd on stage and sing back up to his most famous hit "Knock On Wood". He had many other hits, including "6345789". What a memorable night and definitely the highlight of our singing careers so far! www.eddiefloyd.com
